“Artificial Intelligence in Security and Defence” 
 
Under the high patronage of His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic General Michel Aoun, the Research and Strategic Studies Center (RSSC) in the LEBANESE ARMED FORCES is organizing a conference under the title of: “Artificial Intelligence in Security and Defence” (AISD 2019) on 26-27-28-29 March 2019 in Monroe Hotel – Beirut.

The Army Command - Research and Strategic Studies Center (RSSC) invites researchers, academics, specialists, and IT companies to participate in the submission of scientific and technical studies and research in various areas of smart and informational technology in the security and defence sectors, especially innovative and rigorously developed conceptual, empirical contributions, applications, and deployment strategy and requirements. It also encourages multi-disciplinary research focusing on Intelligence for national security and counter terrorism, cyber and traditional warfare, and logistics and support.

The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Business and Society
Today, Artificial  Intelligence is shaping human activity in organizations and in society. But,  what do we know about their design, their usage, and their impact?  

This conference is concerned with these Information Systems, shedding light on how they are, and how they will be understood, adopted, implemented, adapted, and used within organizations and more generally, within the society as a whole.

The main focus will be on how actors understand the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support organizational activities and hence how they adopt and adapt these technologies to achieve their goals. 

We are interested in different areas of the organization's strategy through new business models, competitive strategies, knowledge management, etc. Specific areas are concerned such as marketing, human resource management, project management, operation management, innovation management, etc.

The 11th Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems will be held in Genoa, Italy on 4-5 September 2017. MCIS 2017 invites academics and researchers, from all over the world but also especially from the Mediterranean region, to reflect on innovative research in information systems, from the point of view of a rapidly changing world.

MCIS aim
The Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (MCIS) aims to encourage and inspire innovative and informative IS research that is relevant to the social, economic and cultural particularities of the Mediterranean region, raise the visibility of IS-related research practice, education and policy carried out in the Mediterranean region and bring together researchers, educators, policy makers and practitioners originating from, or working in the region, thus engaging junior and more experienced members of the Mediterranean IS community in a creative dialogue.
